For many of our lecterns, you have the option to choose a finish that resembles wood, achieved through either HPL or veneer finishing. All lecterns with a wooden interior, such as the Barracuda, Spietz, Q-Box, and others, are covered with HPL or veneer. You have the opportunity to select from hundreds of solid colors or wood types for the HPL/veneer.

What is HPL?
HPL stands for High Pressure Laminate, also known as laminate. HPL consists of paper pulp and phenolic resin with a hard top layer of melamine resin. Thanks to its robust surface, HPL requires no special care and is easy to clean.

What color and wood type are you interested in?
HPL is available in all wood types and many colors. You can choose an HPL from our catalog, which we will send to you free of charge with your order. If you already know which HPL you want and have the code, you can easily provide it to us. We work with many well-known HPL brands and can almost always provide a suitable HPL.

What is veneer?
Veneer is a thin layer of wood sliced from a log. The thickness varies between 0.5 and 2 mm, depending on the wood species and application. Veneer always needs to be finished, which can be done with lacquer, oil, or wax. Untreated veneer is susceptible to stains and often more prone to scratches than HPL. If you choose veneer, we will advise you on the right choice for your lectern.
